5 runs or 3 outs will constitute an inning.
Teams play 10 players on the field (2 short stops or 4
fielders).
Coaches pitch 5 pitches to a batter and if there is not a
hit, then bring out the T stand for the batter to hit off.
No outs on batting. If the child can't hit a pitched ball,
then they get to hit of the T stand.
Do not start an inning after 7:30 p.m.
All players bat, whether they are on the bench or the
playing field.
Umpires are not necessary unless a team requests it.
The scorebook is used more to keep players in the proper
batting order, rather than keeping score.
No stealing bases. All runners must be batted home.
Once fielders have possession of the ball, runners can no
longer advance.
There should be 50 ft. between the bases. All bases MUST
be anchored down with base spikes.
Players in the pitcher's position MUST be 15 feet
back from home plate until the ball is hit
All batters MUST wear batting helmets with the chin
straps done up.
Catchers MUST wear all of the catcher's equipment.
Players should not throw their bats down after batting. If
they do it, they should be warned one time and then if they
do it again, they are out.
Bats should be no more than 30 inches in length (28 inches
or less is recommended) and 2 1/4 inches in diameter at the
thickest part of the barrel.
